Poland has beaten Cuba 3 – 1 (Set 1: 25 – 18, Set 2: 25 – 19, Set 3: 21 – 25, Set 4: 25 – 14 and total 96 – 76), Poland has beaten Puerto Rico 3 – 0 (Set 1: 25 – 14, Set 2: 25 – 12, Set 3: 25 – 15 and total 75 – 41), Poland has beaten Iran 3 – 0 (Set 1: 25 – 21, Set 2: 25 – 20, Set 3: 25 – 22 and total 75 – 63), Poland has beaten Finland 3 – 1 and Poland has beaten Bulgaria 3 – 1 (Set 1: 25 – 14, Set 2: 23 – 25, Set 3: 25 – 22, Set 4: 25 – 23 and total 98 – 84).

The 2-nd Round of the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship

During the 2-nd round the Poland national men’s volleyball team played in Pool D together with other 3 teams such as Serbia, France and Argentina. It’s worth noting that the 2-nd round of the championship wasn’t successful for Poland. Poland lost to Argentina 2 – 3 (Set 1: 25 – 16, Set 2: 19 – 25, Set 3: 23 – 25, Set 4: 25 – 23, Set 5: 14 – 16 and total 106 – 105), Poland lost to France 1 – 3 (Set 1: 15 – 25, Set 2: 18 – 25, Set 3: 25 – 23, Set 4: 25 – 18 and total 98 – 76) and then Poland defeated Serbia 3 – 0 (Set 1: 25 – 17, Set 2: 25 – 16, Set 3: 25 – 14 and total 75 – 47). With 6 wins, 2 losses and 19 points, the Poland national men’s volleyball team finished the 2-nd round of the tournament at the 1-st place in Pool H.

During the 3-rd round the Poland national men’s volleyball team played in Pool J with other 2 teams such as Serbia and Italy. It’s important to point out that the 3-rd round of the competition wasn’t easy for Poland as well. Poland defeated Serbia 3 – 0 (Set 1: 28 – 26, Set 2: 28 – 26, Set 3: 25 – 22 and total 81 – 74) and then Poland lost to Italy 2 – 3 (Set 1: 25 – 14, Set 2: 21 – 25, Set 3: 25 – 18, Set 4: 17 – 25, Set 5: 11 – 15 and total 99 – 97). With 1 win, 1 loss and 4 points the Poland national men’s volleyball team took the 1-st place in Pool J and reached the final round of the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship.

The Semifinals of the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship

The final round of the competition consisted of three stages: semifinals and final as well as the match for the 3-rd place. During the finals Poland defeated Brazil 3 – 0 (set 1: 28 – 26, set 2: 25 – 20, set 3: 25 – 23 and total: 78 – 69). As a result, the Poland national men’s volleyball team became the winner of the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship.

It’s clear that semifinals of the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship were not successful for the United States men’s national volleyball team. However, the team did great job and demonstrated excellent performance in the 3-rd place match of the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship. It’s important to note that the match for the 3-rd place wasn’t easy for United States. Teams played 5 sets during the match. But the United States men’s national volleyball team worked hard and played smart. As a result, the United States men’s national volleyball team defeated its opponent successfully. United States beaten Serbia 3 – 1 (Set 1: 23 – 25, Set 2: 25 – 17, Set 3: 32 – 30, Set 4: 25 – 19 and total 105 – 91) and took the 3-rd place at the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship.
