Volleyball Rotations
By Kaitlyn Kwan
In Volleyball, there are 6 positions: libero, outside hitter, right side hitter, setter and middle blocker. All the players rotate clockwise but the libero. Volleyball rotations helps the game run smoother. A team rotates after they receive a serve and win the rally (side out). You rotate clockwise once and let someone new on your team serve. If you just served and you serve again you don’t rotate and you stay in.
Front row blocks or hits and the back row digs and defends. The back row can also attack the ball as long as they do it before the front row. If the players move out of their positions before the opponents serve their opponents gains a point. If they move before their serve the ball is given to the opponents to serve.
